The Stone County Honor Guard (SCHG) will be posting Colors at the Quit of Valor Award Ceremony in the front of the Stone County Court House in Mountain View at 11:00am. SCHG are to assemble at this location at 10:30am.
The mission of Quilts of Valor is to cover service members and veterans touched by war with comforting and healing Quilts of Valor.
The Stone County Honor Guards (SCHG) will be posting the colors for the Veteran’s Appreciation Day at the Independence County Fairgrounds. The SCHG members will be leaving from the Stone County Veteran’s office on the square at 7:30am for Batesville, Arkansas.
A group of three of four Stone County Honor Guards will be required to post the colors and retire the colors at VFW Post 4766. This event is for the Stone County Republican banquet. The Honor Guards members are required to be at the VFW by 17:30 (5:30PM).
Stone County Honor Guards are to meet at the Mountain View city park at 8:30 am.
All Veterans in the Mount Joy Cemetery will be read and recognized. This will require a small group of the Stone County Honor Guard members to participate in the reading of Mount Joy buried Veterans.
